One Person Killed a Fighting in Mogadishu.

Mogadishu, (Insidesomalia.org) One person was killed and three others wounded in a fighting at the main Bakara market in Mogadishu, says witness.

 

The fighting between government forces and insurgents was used with heavy gun fire, hand grenades and small arms heard in many parts of the capital.

 

The area in which the fighting erupted today was cordoned for the third day by the Somali government forces with military vehicle mounted heavy machineguns.

 

"Government forces sealed off the area since the start of this week with out any apparent reasons" said Ali Kulane, a business man in the Bakara market.

 

On Sunday four people were injured in the same area after heavy fighting flared up and people whose business is located in Bakara Market especially at the Howlwadag interjection show concern on confrontations.

 

Business activities were suspended and shops remain closed for the fourth day today in fear of possible escalations of the on going fighting in the Bakara market.

 

Business activities in the market goes down to decline since many more traders start relocate their business in other areas including Suuq Ba,ad, the second main market in Mogadishu at the northern part of the capital which more stable and secure than the Bakara market.

 

The fighting comes after efforts are underway in Cairo, the capital of Egypt to mediate negotiations between Somali government and the its main opposition group, Alliance for Deliberation of Somalia established in Asmara , the capital of Eritrea.
